Confirm That Replacement Is Necessary
Identify whether poor drainage comes from the disposal soil, distribution, excessive flow or an upstream defect. A pump or filter repair may be a different scope. When the receiving area has failed, another pump-out is only temporary relief.
Evaluate the Available Ground
Review the actual parcel, wet-season groundwater, soil suitability, wells, access and proposed construction. The replacement may need a revised layout or elevation. Do not assume every neighboring lot has the same soil or separation.
Check Sewer and Nutrient Rules First
Confirm address-specific sewer availability with Palm Bay Utilities. In covered plan areas, replacement planning should consider the current permit scope and the July 1, 2030 requirement for covered existing commercial or qualifying residential properties. A field-only proposal should explain the remaining treatment obligations.
Submit the Proper Repair or Replacement Scope
DOH-Brevard determines which application route and evaluations apply. Provide the site plan, existing-system information and proposed work. City plumbing, electrical or building approvals may also be needed depending on the complete project.
Compare the Full Price and Closeout
Starting field pricing does not identify treatment equipment, unusual site preparation, electrical work, permit charges or restoration for every property. Request an itemized scope, required inspections and final records. Protect the new area from vehicles, paving and excess roof drainage.
